Talk About Talk is devoted to talking about talk--to discussing communication in all of its guises--from face-to-face, to electronic--verbal and nonverbal--interpersonal, public, private, persuasive, funny, sad, good, bad--satirical, imperial, lyrical, tyrannical, mystical, proverbial, ugly, plain, and beautiful--ironic, iconic, laconic--Platonic, Sophistic, Eristic--caustic, sweet, neat, and banal. We talk about talk, and others’ talk about talk, from all time-periods and as many cultural perspectives as we are able to competently navigate. On most programs we interview scholars in the field of rhetoric and communication and talk about their talk about talk--their published research. In addition to discussions with guest scholars, some programs consist of discussions of broad questions pertinent to the field(s) of rhetoric and communication.
