Leeds, United Kingdom
Born in Southampton in 1977, the heyday of disco, he grew up on a diet of funk and soul supplied by legends like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Tower of Power, Funkadelic and James Brown. Inspired by his musical roots in 2011 he helped co-found the soulful house collective Afro.co. The coalition’s legendary parties saw him playing alongside headliners Omar, Peven Everett, Karizma, Atjazz, JD73, Grandmaster Flash, Rainer Truby, Jazzy Jeff and Lil Louis. A major highlight saw him play at the final Southport Weekender in Minehead. He now runs STITCH: Presents a monthly night at Doghouse Bar in Leeds and hosts a monthly radio show of the same name on KMAH digital radio. Where the music policy is always diverse. When asked to describes his sound he says “for me it’s always about the groove and energy over the genre – so people get a combination of moving soul music, energetic funk and far-out jazz alongside classic house and disco”
