I'm not a DJ, I'm a writer.
I used to do quite a bit of DJ:ing back in the day though - nothing big, but enough to be fun and to get some experience behind the decks. These days, I'm putting sets together to serve as inspiration for my writing. I try to pick out tracks that fit with a theme and try to build my sets around that.
