Aftermath

With this one I wanted to try and create a mood that's dark, but in a positive way. Darkness is often associated with scary, evil, negative vibes, but that's not necessarily the case always. There can also be safety and warmth in the darkness. A place to relax and be yourself in peace and quite, away from the brightness and the noise of the everyday world.
I wanted that warmth to come through in the music, and that was my thinking when I picked out the tracks.

Did I succeed?
Not quite, I'd say. Some of the tracks here really come from the negative side of the darkness, and they mean I didn't fully achieve what I was aiming for. I'd say it's still a good set though, and there's plenty of very relaxed warmth within - especially towards the latter half of it.
