i record a lot more than i post. a whole lot more. i've thought about posting more frequently, but i like the idea of each post i make having a measure of individuality or personality. as a result i've got around 12 mixes online. on my computer, however, i've got close to 10x that number (across 3 different drives). the problem is...

hard drives fail.

for some reason, when *my* hard drives fail they all do so at the same !@#$ing time. it's like they all decide to hop aboard the fail bus and ride it to the same spot. i'm not sure where that spot is... but i think its somewhere between ambivalence and the data recovery shop. i've lost everything - and i do mean everything - enough times that i'm a bit numb to the prospect of starting over again from scratch. it still fucking sucks - but these days most tunes and even equipment can be replaced. everything except the stuff that i make. so that's what this is. insurance and proof (that i wasn't on my ass the ENTIRE time).
