A Native of Jacksonville Beach, FL, born Kristen Theriault, Suga K is currently one of the top female DJs from her city. Suga K was first introduced to electronic music and artists like DJ Icey, Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold in 1999 during the heart of the 90s rave culture movement. It wasn't until 2012 that she took a true keen interest in the music. It was Christmas Eve; she and some friends were out last minute shopping when her friend randomly popped a Stanton Sessions Mix Tape in her CD player. It was on that day that she fell in love with not only electronic music, but her love for Breakbeats was undeniable. Her first hands-on encounter with turntables didn't happen until a few years later at an after-hours party around November 2016. That night sparked a flame of passion inside of her, and she became unstoppable. She spent hours behind the decks, they couldn't get her off of them. She was determined to master the art of mixology.
