The idea for the Subject Matters podcast was born in the car as we were deciding on the music we wanted to listen to while stuck in a traffic jam on the M5. We discovered that our musical backgrounds were very random and varied with a lot of cross over and a lot of diversity with it. Some call it eclectic, others call it random.
From this point we decided that we needed to nurture our "eclectic" music tastes so we came up with the idea of playlists dedicated to random subjects.
We thought it would be interesting, or at least entertaining, to add ourselves talking about the music and thus expanding the playlist into being a podcast of sorts. It also fed Jo's desire to host her own radio show. Unfortunately it has me on it as well, so it's half way there!
