Stuart Bates, Lawrie Hall & Julian Tolputt are "THREE DOPES IN A BOAT"

Starting on Sunday 3rd July 2011 we shall be rowing a 26ft wooden Victorian Skiff 100 miles upstream (equivalent to 5 x across the English Channel) from Ham House in London to Oxford to raise as much money as possible for the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.
To help us with our challenge, current World Champion rower, Anna Watkins has generously agreed to be our coach & mentor.
As many of you are aware, my much loved brother, Spencer, is suffering with this terminal illness. At present there is no cure or effective treatment and the money raised will help sufferers and fund research into the causes of, and hopefully soon a cure for this devastating disease.
