As the head of West Coast label Non Projects, Brian Simon has shown a sharp ear for experimental, ambient and field recording collages, and has helped to launch the careers of Asura/Ryan York, a.d.l.r., RareBit, Ana Caravelle and Gold and Soil. Alongside this forward-thinking A&R, Brian has formed an outlet for his own musical exploits through his moniker Anenon, garnering a raft of attention and finally seeing a launch-pad for his work in Europe through the Brownswood Electr*c 2 compilation.
He's currently cutting a path across Europe, including attending the prestigious RBMA, and judging by his Dublab live set last year we're all in for a true live showcase, including some fine sax and percussion mastery.
Overall, Anenon is a key figure in the experimental beat scene, and if his daring signings, fearless production and fine musicianship continue we predict nothing but big things for him in the future.
