Left school 1983 & got heavily involved in "protest" / "alternative" culture."Dropped out" (& to ths day, have never quite dropped back in) & went to live at Faslane Peace Camp.Moved to Newcastle, where I first got involved with the "underground" / home-made music tape & fanzine scene.Returned to Dundee, & worked for a year at Resource Centre For The Unemployed. Started a mail order point for anarchist fanzines & badges. Organised a series of gigs & events (featuring Chumbawamba, The Apostles, Oi Polloi & many more) steering a strange line between anarcho-punk, performance art & the avant-garde. Played first gig as "Stream Ov Abuse", which, judging by the hazy recollections of those present, has become the stuff of legend.(though don't believe all you read)
In 1987, moved to Nottingham, where I & many good friends created a vibrant D.I.Y music scene for improvised music. Played many gigs in different lineups throughout the U.K, almost always as benefits for worthy causes.Out of ths
