The first part of Pelroy & Chops' birthday mix at Blue Ginger a couple of weeks ago. A quiet dinner turns into a 7 hour banger, a much-needed excursion with the original Whiti massive after being cooped up for so long..
So there was no time to waste, straight in with some silly old house music, fat beats with lavishings of dub sauce. Mostly tracks from years ago resurfaced but all new here. I dropped most of these tunes at The Fox & Badger last weekend.... what a great night that was.
I gave these guys a drum each for being awesome . I've been developing them for a while and hopefully get a few made up and a website before next year. Made from laminated Finnish birch with 2 tones on each face. Essentially a cajon but played more like a djembe with a bongo-esque sound. Not sure what to call them yet. Hit me up if you're keen for one.
