Stefano Antoniol aka STEBASS around 2001 he gets in contact with reggae music and its vibration while at college, listening to Bob Marley's classic tunes and being touched deeply by the sound of the bass guitar. Soon after, in the spring of 2002 he starts opening his ears up to other foundation reggae artists, such as Gregory Isaacs, Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, Jimmy Cliff, Lucky Dube and Alpha Blondy; autumn comes and Stefano is employed as metal-worker in a factory…his first salary is used to the purchase a bass guitar. From that moment on, his relationship with the instrument is indissoluble: after a few lessons he learns 'Stir it up' and intimately realises that playing reggae music will be a part of himself forever on. In the first weeks of 2003 Stefano joins forces with a few friends to form a group called Roots Bamboo, where he meets a talented and inspirational trombonist called Zilvy, who will be his musical companion
