Andrew Ceacatura, aka State Secret, is a Romanian-American house-music DJ and producer. He started his DJing career in 2011 under the moniker Dirty Jerz playing college house parties, campus events and hosting a weekly EDM radio show at WCUA for four years. In 2014, he hit the bar and club circuit in his native New Jersey and worked his way up to playing events in New York City. In 2016, State Secret restarted his career in Washington DC, and since then he has become a mainstay in the DC house music scene. Stylistically, State Secret fell into the French deep house scene while an exchange student in France. Over the years, his style has evolved into an obsession with deep and tech house, and over the last few years, he has embraced a more melodic sound that mixes in elements of house and techno, emblematic of his maturation as an artist over the last decade.
