BTW, just read your dialogue with Lucidboomer and his inability to specify the particular track related to the "Dub". Sounded to me like he only views a given stream as a seamless entity, not realizing it's stitched together by a gifted Mind. I think I'll need to listen again (been absent for a month), but I recall one track in there which had that thudAdudThud stuff in it. It was kinda weird and if I can narrow it down I'll elaborate.
Another tip is to ask "Alexa, play Starstreams on iHeart" or "Alexa, play The Blue Bus on iHeart!"

Love the stuff! My only comment is that the dub stuff just doesn't fit. It's like mixing milk with oil. The entire track is mind music... high IQ, then suddenly it drops to IQ 75 with the dub. Like putting 40 bars of ACDC in the middle of Brandenberg's Concerto #3 in G Major. Estes ... was a great fit!
Which track or tracks are you referring to when you mention dub stuff?
It was i066. Others might like it. I'm just one voice. I've followed SS since Aug 1985. I can easily just go to youtube, as I did today to listen to Estes, or Tangerine Dream, or any of the others. For me, the dub just doesn't fit the motif.
i066 is an entire two hour program. I specifically asked you which tracks within the program you thought were out of place or detracted from it, in your opinion. You started your original comment with 'Love the stuff!' so which is it, do you love it or are you now claiming the entire program is 'dub stuff.?'
If that is what you understood from what I typed,, then either I phrased it wrongly, or you misunderstood. This channel is great, for sure. It is my favorite. All I said was that a piece of dub stuffed into the list of tracks is out of character for Musical Starstreams. Granted, I've only listened for 35 years, but the early Forest material would never have included such low-brow material as dub in his mix. I don't really want to argue with you on this. I nearly pointed out that the dub doesn't fit the motif for this channel. If you are drowning in subscribers, then fill you boots. It would mean that you are making the right choices and I am the lonely man out there. If I want to hear dub, I just put a pair of runners in the dryer and turn it on. bup bup bup bup bup bup....
I get it that not everyone likes every song and you have misgivings about 'dub stuff' but I'm still not clear what you define as being that way and you are failing to provide an example from this particular program. So, when you wrote your original comment was it just a reflection on the show itself or on this particular show? I'm not arguing, I'm just trying to understand what you are specifically referring to. Is there any specific 'dub stuff' in this program or are you just waxing philosophically about all of them over the past nearly forty years?
I was talking about program i066. At some point in that program, the ambiance of "Musical Starstreams" took a nosedive into dub. I don't look at every track. I listen as I work. Clearly, Forest isn't programming these tracks. He would never put that stuff in there. But stop replying. I can't communicate with you for some reason. I'm sure you guys are doing just fine without me as a subscriber. And as such, I have no standing to complain. Just wanted to make the point. Dub is fine for those who like that sort of thing. It just belongs in its own genre and not mixed with Musical Starstreams.
I've been offering Musical Starstreams since Dec 20, 1981 in Mill Valley. Let me assure you that every show is programmed by me, so clearly you are mistaken when you say that I'd never use this kind of music. You think I have a big staff or something? You clearly have not been paying attention over the years. I'm a one man operation.
