Sounds in the Grass is a podcast series by Aaron James. The idea behind each show is to take the listener through a journey of music both past and present, sharing his own musical influences and the stories behind them as well as that of others. Shows include songs suggested to Aaron by others, and special programmes feature guests who share their own musical influences, both musicians and music fans.

About Aaron: Aaron is a lifelong radio fan who took his childhood love of media to the next level, studying and gaining qualifications in ND Media Production (2012), a BA Journalism degree (2017) and is about to commence a Master of Research (MRes) postgraduate course in Journalism (2018). Since 2006 he has been part of, and operated a wide range of radio stations both on the internet and FM. His influences include iconic local radio presenters such as Duncan Warren, Ian Polmear, James Dundon and Dave Gould as well as Gary Jon (Radio Tamworth) and journalist Matthew Clarke.
