Chart positions

This upload was 3rd in the #funk chart.

"Get On Down!" in this case simply stands for some real driving Funk that I don‘t wanna miss and that I‘m sharing now. Again classics and rarities were combined here.

Only the last track is a Blues number (by Ray Charles) but Joe Sample is really gettin’ down on it. What an adorable live version!

Picture: Eddie Harris in 1973, taken from his Atlantic Double LP "Excursions" (SD 2-311). Track 12 (starts at 44:36) is from there: The hilarious "Drunk Man".

Enjoy the Funk!

An extremely beautiful session with a killer groove going on. I particularly liked the Crusaders 'Hard Times', I have 4 of their Lps and really dig them. I also love everything I hear by Eddie Harris and that Christian McBride live cover was fantastic. As always superb mate.
