Born in Messina in 1978, Ivan F. aka Soul Frequency began his musical journey as a hip-hop DJ at 14, influenced by artists like Wu-Tang Clan and A Tribe Called Quest. Over time, his passion for jazz and soul shaped his deep musical culture, leading him to house music through legends like Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan. In 2006, he founded DeepHouseSection, a platform dedicated to promoting Deep & Soulful House, supporting DJs, producers, and independent labels.
Now, Soul Frequency delivers vinyl-only sets blending disco, funk, deep, and soulful house, performing across Italy in clubs from Milan to the Adriatic coast. His sets are a tribute to timeless grooves, seamlessly mixing rare gems and underground anthems to create an immersive musical experience. With an unwavering love for analog sound, he keeps the spirit of disco and house alive, turning every dancefloor into a soulful journey through rhythm and melody.
