Sono Masino likes to describe his music as groovy minimal techno, infused by electrifying sounds of carefully selected samples and effects. His fascination and what soon after became his passion begun when he has started to attend parties organised by schools. The idea of being able to make people dance and giving the feel-good atmosphere they came for was what sparked the idea of pursuing his first steps as a DJ. It wasn’t long before he learned that electronic music, particularly techno is a genre which expressed him in the best way possible.
“Being able to identify yourself within the music you’re playing is the best sensation in the world. Techno allows you to feel what you want to feel at that given moment and associate yourself with the music”
Having taken quite a long gap from mixing, spending the summer 2015 in Ibiza made Sono Masino realise what he’s been missing the most throughout his gap years. He has been spending his time mixing and taking his first steps in producing.
