Solo(moon - Slipstream (2001)

Slipstream - The area located directly behind a speeding object, separated from the current of air flow, potentially creating the sensation of suspended weightlessness.

This piece is meant to capture the deep, spacious, and atmospheric character of goa/psytrance. It was inspired by the sound that was characteristic of the early Moontribe “full-moon desert trance” sound. Here the distinction between expansive space reaching beyond the void in all directions and the limitless chasm of inner space is dissolved. The aim of this particular mix is to be more of a cerebral journey than a “dance” experience. The hope is to ease the listener into a vast space beyond terrestrial confines, increase the intensity to an astral melody beyond the senses, and ultimately find resolution in a soft landing back on moonlit soil.
