Solex

Solomon’s musical journey began in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where he grew up in a musical family. As the eldest son of a preacher, he first picked up the bass guitar at age 14 to play for his family’s gospel quartet, The Edmond Family. His passion eventually shifted to the keyboard, launching a distinguished 25-year career as a Minister of Music and Music Director for theatrical stage plays.Operating under his solo moniker Solex, his official commercial music career took off with his 2007 debut album, Together Again—a soulful jazz compilation rooted in gospel and blended with Latin and R&B rhythms. His dedication earned him two #1 hits in the UK with "If I Fall" and "It Ain’t in Me," while his album Full Moon reached #55 on the SmoothJazz.com Year End Top 100 Album Chart. Drawing inspiration from music legends Earth, Wind & Fire, George Duke, and Brian Culbertson, Solomon infuses his deeply personal life experiences into his art.
