With studies at the national school of music UNAM, the UCL and metropolitan university in London. Sofia is a peruvian singer and poet based in London since 1991, she has been actively been taking part in performing music as a musician, singer and as part of diverse groups mainly Latin American with folk roots in London- but also as a singer in her own rights together with other musicians to present Killaraymi-Adoration to the Moon, her last album recorded in Peru 2007. Since then Sofia has recorded two more albums as a solo artists with the arrangements of great musicians and composers as well as adding music to her poetry performances. She has also worked as a ethnomusicologist- oral historian and researcher for diverse heritage projects in the UK.Recently she has joined taller literario de la memoria of hispanoamerican women in London. In 2013 se recorded GUERRERA DE LA LUZ, her last musical jorney and album at STUDIO SUR PERU.
