David Skeet – Lecturer, JMC Academy
With a career spanning over 40 years across Australia, the UK and the US, David Skeet is a highly respected musician, songwriter and producer. A founding member of The Venetians, he went on to sign with MCA/Universal Music Publishing and Epic Records in Los Angeles, collaborating with artists including Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Don Henley (Eagles), Peter Frampton, Nik Kershaw and Warren Zevon.
Back in Australia, David has produced and developed artists for Sony, EMI, Warner Bros and Universal, working with acts such as Angus & Julia Stone, Dean Lewis, Kate Miller-Heidke, Keith Urban and The Church. He now shares his wealth of experience with students at JMC Academy, while continuing to champion emerging talent through his production company Track Record.
