Loved playing records from an early age - usually sister Sharon , (great name if you ever start DJing sis) when she was out......., mainly top 40 stuff & Deep Purple!
Introduced to the Electro albums by Dave - then Dave found country & western!!!!! wtf
Carried on with all things electro/hip hop listening to John Peel with finger on the pause button, listened to Mike Allen, Jeff Young - anything to get my Hippery Hopperty fix.
Bought my first set of Technics in 89' and widening my taste to chart dance stuff & agreed with Darren we should start mobile DJing.
After the 90s dance explosion wet my appetite I developed my own buying taste of a more underground nature, US House & Garage followed by UK Deep House and funky grooves & twisted disconiceness.
Anyway I stopped buying those House music 12s for myself about 1999 and found fewer & fewer chances to get funky on the decks and my vinyl collection stayed mostly stored away - until now.
