Collidescope - A collaboration with Pulsewidth

Many months in the planning, and unfortunately delayed due to work commitments on both sides, I am pleased to be able to finally present a collaboration mix with my good friend https://www.mixcloud.com/Pulsewidth25/, a Mixcloud DJ who has earned my utmost respect. I've been following him ever since I joined MC and have never failed to be impressed with his output. It is an honor to offer up this collaboration with him to your ears :)

Pulsewidth kicks things off until i come in on track 9 and take it from there. The overall sound is quite different from our usual fayer, as followers of either of us will notice, but I think you'll enjoy it :)

Many thanks in advance for listening in and if you like what you are hearing please show Puslewidth some love by following him with the links provided below

Man I know I've been a busy dude and I hate that I missed this when it came out but that being said it was soaking in wine then dipped in a bath of whiskey to get nice and ripe for me to listen! There is some real awesomeness happening in this mix and the collaboration I'm sure turned out this incredible result of you both complimenting each other! Simon I really like this mix and Pulsewidth BRAVO! Some really nice House Music For Real House Music Lovers!

Really enjoying this mix. I drifted off to sleep on the first listen (which is not a bad thing!) Did you come in with Style is the Answer? I played the Deeper Groove mix of that a few weeks ago on my show. Nice transition. I preferred the second half of this mix. 808s, Nothing Stays the Same & Pearls were the stand out tracks for me but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole set

Thanks fella :))

Great collaboration with a great selection of tracks that got deeper as it went along. Blues in a Rose and Road Runner are classic tunes that moved nicely into Thank You. In the second half loved 808s - nice and acidic and then got quite soulful with the Sade remix - classy stuff. Great works chaps :))

Thanks for listening in John :)

Awesome collision guys! Lovely deep build to the first half with highlights being the wonderful take on 'Rose Rouge' of 'Blues In A Rose', the infectious deep swing of 'Bound - Road Runner' and hypnotic funk of Yost's 'Messing With My Soul'. The change in pace and feel is evident with Simon's first track, the exalted 'Love Games'. Kevin McKay is a producer i have loved since his Musique Tropique days and this cut is a fine example of his vocal infused, warm style. 'Style Is The Answer' introduces the following dusky vibe brilliantly, the pinnacle of which is '808s, Pausetapes & Other Shit' led by a killer old school Acid Trax style baseline. To close, the delicate and melodic 'Out Of My Life' sinks glowingly into the closing Sade remix, a sensational, emotive tune. Cheers fellas!
