Pradip Sarkar aka Docta Deep is a Melbourne-based DJ/Producer with an avid interest in bass-driven Global electronic music, also referred to as "Global Bass". As a DJ, his sets explore the dubby and psychedelic end of the spectrum, with sounds influenced by 140 bpm trip-hop, dub, and instrumental Hip Hop, and textures drawn from the musics of the Global South (Asia, Africa, and the Middle-East). His sets take you through a cinematic yet groovy journey through the Globe.
He maintains a wide cultural palate of sounds, owing to a life lived in Australia, India, South East Asia, and West Africa. Pradip also hosts shows on community radio stations in Melbourne, such as PBS FM and Kiss FM. He often DJs at Bar Ousso, one of Melbourne's renowned boutique World music venues.

Pradip also produces beats and performs with Sikander, a Melbourne live act that blends the sounds of a multicultural Melbourne.
