Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Shoira started as a proponent of Afro-Latin Dance and Music in many parts of the world. Over the past two years she was a trendsetter and nexus of the Salsa community in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
An aficionado of tasteful music, Shoira grew up on jazz and has since childhood sought rare records to build up her eclectic music collection.
Traveling world-over on her official job, Shoira has had the opportunity to immerse in world music, becoming addicted to Afro-Latin rhythms in the process.
Her first DJ experience was in the African Continent where she hosted private parties to entertain a large Expat community while working there in the humanitarian field. Later Shoira played in various countries in Eastern Europe South Asia and Middle East.
While continuing to share her passion for Afro and Latin music, Shoira also defined her sound in multiple music genres including Afrobeat, Funk, Broken Beat, Disco and Afro House
