This West Tokyo native was initially inspired to DJ by British take on jazz and hip hop while growing up in UK but eventually shifted to electronic music, then now cumbia, dub disco and all flavors in between.
Shigeki has been quietly involved in the scene for the past 20 years DJing in Tokyo, Berlin, Hong Kong, Manila and Bangkok.
Shigeki has spent much of his DJ career in Tokyo but more recent years he has been based and sharing his music in South East Asia. He’s played at some of the best venues in the region over the last few years with sets at Potatohead, XXXX 2020, GOJA and also curated/co-organized events with Record Store Day, Biennale, Design Week as well as Comme des Garçon, Fred Perry. Fritz Hansen and more.
