Just uploaded two remixes I did for Die Slein, the project of Areal Kollen—one of the most dedicated and resourceful artists I’ve had the chance to work with. We connected years ago through our small circle of online collaborators, all trading ideas and remixing each other’s work across different parts of the world. Areal, based in China, has always had to work around serious restrictions just to stay involved in the scene, constantly changing emails, using proxy servers, and working under different names. Despite all of that, he’s remained relentless in pushing his music forward.

🔹 Kiyert (Remix by Shane Aungst) – This was one of the earlier remixes I did for him, and I remember approaching it with a “feel first” mentality rather than trying to be too technical. It ended up on a few compilations and can still be found on Die Slein’s Bandcamp.

🔹 Wine Like Blood (Choked Mix Edit by Shane Aungst Brandt) – This was actually the first track I ever worked on with Areal. At the time, I had no idea how much we’d end up collaborating, but looking back, this was the track that kicked it all off. It also made its way onto a compilation and Die Slein’s Bandcamp
