Shams D. M. (Shams Drop Microscopic) has been a key figure in the Dallas DJ scene since 2002. His love for electronic music began in 1996 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, when he first heard Robert Miles’ “Children.” Years later, hearing the same track at Dallas’ Lizard Lounge solidified his passion.

A founding member of Afterlife, Shams became a recognized DJ in the Dallas rave community. After a brief hiatus, he returned to perform at Nora with The House of Champagne and later joined the Capsul collective.

Shams has organized festivals like Destination Unknown and shared stages with legends such as Doc Martin, Josh Wink, and Quivver. His sets blend Deep House, Techno, and Breakbeat, inspired by his love for synth-pop and new wave.

Focused on hypnotic techno and underground sounds, Shams creates immersive, emotional, and rhythmic experiences.
