As electronic music took its course in the 90s, DJ Shadow (known as Super Drug today) was spending time listening to Radio DJ Italia, which inspired him to become a DJ. He would mix music on a double cassette recorder, and later DJ Shadow would also produce music on the original PlayStation using the Music Maker game. A year later, DJ Shadow got his first gramophones and his first vinyls, which were hip-hop and house. He then experimented with what he had and realized that house music would be his true calling.
Before 1997, DJ Shadow was already playing in Opatija at a club called What Club, where he became a resident DJ. His journey later continued in 1997 at Fort Bourguignon, where he had the chance to play in front of a bigger audience and further build his name in the club scene.
