Sergio Massironi

Born in Lecco in 1977, Sergio Massironi has been a priest of the Archdiocese of Milan since 2002. Since the early years of his ministry he has combined pastoral experiences, teaching and research. He graduated in Philosophy from the Vita e Salute San Raffaele University - Milan. He obtained a Licentiate in Systematic Theology at the Facoltà Teologica dell'Italia Settentrionale and then a Doctorate in Catholic Theology at the University of Vienna. Since 2021 theologian at the vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and currently a consultant in the theological field of the vatican Secretariat of State, he is university chaplain at the Politecnico Milano Lecco Campus and professor of Theology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Pontificia Facoltà Teologica dell'Italia Meridionale. A columnist for L'Osservatore Romano, he directs the series Teologia dalle periferie (Theology from the Peripheries) for the Italian publisher Castelvecchi.
