Selectress M is a nomadic female DJ born and raised in British Columbia, Canada. Most of her selections are heavy on drums and bass and inspired by Jamaican, African, and Latin American rhythms.
Her DJ sets lean towards filling spaces with the richness of dub/digital reggae music. She is motivated to share this movement of love, peace, and good vibes with as much of BC and the rest of the world as possible. She is dynamic as a DJ and has a wide collection of music influenced by rhythms like reggae, dub, dancehall, reggaeton, and cumbia. When she is not sharing a set or collecting music, you can find her at reggae shows, flailing a hula hoop, hanging with her dogs and horses, or traveling. She believes in the grounding power of music and dance and you can feel it anytime she gets the chance to jump behind the decks.
