Selectress Iriela has been pulling treats from her musical treasure chest since 1996. She got her start on drive time reggae music program "Rockers" on 88.9FM WERS Boston. It was not long before Iriela made her mark with in depth interviews and on-air style as one of the first female disc jockeys / producers on the scene. Since then Ms. La's vibe has evolved to encompass Afrobeat, funk to disco and more-- honoring anthems for revolution infusing the rhythmic sounds to move the body and the soul!
Selectress Iriela (www.Iriela.com) spins on behalf of her global mission with her edutainment group, Second World (www.second-world.com) Iriela is the host and producer of SECOND WORLD Sessions in New York City and is the Founder of Culture Fest International, an interactive media, music and fair trade arts festival. She has recently gone into the studio to begin production on her first releases after more than sixteen years in the industry.
