born and raised at the lake constance, leyk grew up in a quite protected and musical environment, playing piano & double bass besides singing in the local church choir. since 1994 he has been a native berliner.
after getting his decks in 1999, he first started rambling through the local berliner bar scene as dj "like". by the end of 2002 he made his first club appearance at the globus/tresor . in 2003 leyk and his dj-partner wimpy successfully established a regular party at globus/tresor called "woitek&leyk".
besides his residency at globus/tresor, leyk has been playing at venues like watergate, alte kantine/berghain, so36, maria am ufer, raumklang, kitkat club, connection club, ritterhof, space beach, club labitzke (zurich, ch), etc...
musically, leyk's not just determined on one style, even though there is a slight tendency to a certain minimal sound, as long as it has a distinguishable melody and warmth in it.
