Scott Young – a Miami-based DJ with roots firmly in all things house - started his music career in the electro and breakbeat scene in the late 90’s. He went on to follow his love of tech and house music in 2000, when good friend and fellow DJ Edgar V introduced him to his residency at the legendary Shadow Lounge in Miami. Scott co-created and helped develope the first laptop stand aimed at computer-based DJs,which made the transition to Traktor and Final Scratch, eventually selling the rights to Stanton and going on to sell tens of thousands of Uberstands worldwide. It was at this time that Scott became a regular DJ with underground Miami techno record label Black Nation Records.

As one of the original members of the prolific Ultra Music Festival family, Scott was lucky enough to have been with promotors Russell Faibisch, Alex Omes, and Rey Navarro when they came up with the simple idea of putting on a music festival on the beach during the famous Miami Winter Music Conference (WMC
