He has written about the death penalty, crime, harsh sentencing, religion, culture and human rights issues for British GQ, The Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph , and Guardian magazines, Esquire, The Atlantic, The Nation, the Texas Observer, and Texas Monthly.
