Sam grew up on a ranch just outside of Baker City, Oregon, and moved to Boise soon after graduating high school. It soon became home to him, and while life hasn’t always allowed him to stay here, he is always drawn back.

Sam started his career in music as a drummer at the young age of 11, tapping out the minutes as he honed his skills, sometimes spending six or seven hours practicing until he could get a beat just right. Recording was something Sam always knew he had a knack for, and when his then bandmates needed to put down basic tracks, he got the equipment and from there his endeavors grew to become what is now Octocorn Records.

Currently finishing his degree in Music Production from Berklee College of Music, Sam is solely focused on delivering the best local music day in and day out.
