Joined the Air Force to dodge the draft while still a Senior at Raritan High School.
Hitchhiked across country after graduating for half a year or so then went into military.
Lived in Japan for 10 years...learned to speak, read, and write Japanese (forgot most of it since I've been back since early 80's)

computer engineer early 80's until about 1996 and then became a radio producer/production guy, voiceover talent.

playing guitar now for about 45 yrs I suppose.

Played for two years in one of the incarnations of the Japanese Rock band Murasaki during the 70's..
had the unbelievable experience of being in a successful band where I got to play to crowds of 15,000 people.
There's a rush you'll never get from drugs!!! lol
