Her ambition in Miss World was to become a DJ.

‘Special Sally K’ was born.
She went onto DJ at her own residencies at Metro, Leicester Square on a Thursday, Brownes on Friday and Salvador and Amanda/ El Gordo on a Saturday. Sally also played at the 52 Club, The Grill Rooms, Sketch, Harlem, The Supper Club and at Cannes Film Festival.
After giving up her Miss England title, she co-presented the BBC Liquid News with Jenny Bond and was signed by UPS Artists, a radio management company, who thrust her into the limelight with her own radio show.
During this time she was spotted by Vodafone and became their European DJ. She played at the UEFA Champions League football finals, which were held in Athens, Moscow and Rome
