Salford Schools Radio is a radio service provided by non-profit organisation Music Industry Learning. It will launch in March 2013 and run for 3 years. Every school in Salford has been invited to take part in the free two-hour workshops which have been funded by BBC Children in Need. Participants will learn how a radio programme is made and have the opportunity to write, record and produce an audio feature of their choice with an award-winning radio broadcaster.
