Ever since he can remember Sadiq Jaafar has had a deep fascination for Music. Living close to the workshop of the master Oud maker Mr. Adnan Abdul Rahman, the mysteries of this magical instrument promised a world unheard of to the young music loving boy. At the age of 12, curious and enthralled by the strange sounds and melodies coming from the famed workshop, young Sadiq mustered courage to enter this unknown but somehow familiar world. Impressed by the young boy's enthusiasm and eagerness to learn Mr. Adnan Abdul Rahman, a musician himself took it upon to teach young Sadiq the delicate art of making and playing the Oud. Thus began Sadiq Jaafars journey into the wonderful world of the Oud.
سفير العود صادق جعفر مؤلف موسيقي، التحق الفنان صادق جعفر بمعهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد في عام 1987، وبدء دراستهُ الأكاديمية على يد الأستاذ الكبير الحاج معتز محمد صالح، والذي كان له الفضل والأثر الكبير في مسيرة الفنان صادق جعفر الفنية.
