In a little while
I'll be gone
The moment's already passed
Yeah it's gone
And I'm not here
This isn't happening
I'm not here
I'm not here

Don´t worry, Daryll. I'm short of time too and very busy, so much so that it's literally impossible for me to hear all the mc mixes I'd like. I have to add "someday" to Listen Later! :)
but you already know, always appreciated you follow and comment on the mixes, bro! hope you are well and safe too. Thanks Daryll!
You are stripping your soul, Ben. Respect.
That Arca's track keep my eye on her/him. Rest of album is not my cup of tea (schizo without the reason or the path out) unless the cooperation with Björk. Thank you for keeping my thumb at the pulse of contemporary music. I am living too much at 90's and 00's era :-/
Nor do I fully connect with the new Arca. And I guess it´ll be due to her approach to certain sounds or styles that I don't connect with either, but there are several notable tracks.
Lucc, if you are living in the 90s/2000s, no problem! :) would be great to make a place for yourself in this oldschool series https://www.mixcloud.com/s_ben/playlists/mas/
check it out if you are interested!
many thanks for listening and feedback. Respect for you too!
Listened right now My Case vol.3-Summer House - Epic!
Bravo Ben!!! Beautiful!!
Gracias Iñaki!!
That Arca track is beautiful. It reminds me a bit of Aitor Extebarria for some reason.
Nice selection Coney, this is a trip.
I've followed him more like el_txef_a, but I see that he has two albums with his name.
I'll listen to them. Thanks Monzi, and thanks for listening and feedback.
Oh Ben bro, when you go deep in intimacy like that... You're into different sides of music, no lack of quality whatever you touch, but it's in this kind of eclectic session that comes out strongly - imho - the most descriptive and distinctive painting of your being & feeling as unrepeatable and unique individual, isn't it? You always surprise me with something new and rare but also with something that I know very well and it makes perfectly sense, but that it would never come into my mind. You have the ability to reveal this connections setting an personal path. And you go beyond the mere knowledge of music, taste and technical skills. You're really expressing that unpredictable side of yourself that only music can tell. And this is this kind of intimacy, of truth that is so touching. Big respect.
wow, I'm speechless. Definitely, sometimes I have the feeling of repeating myself in some ideas when I make these mixes, but you are right, they are also the most personal and intimate way I can show, the titles, the choice of music, everything has a component strong emotional own, experiences, thoughts. And then there is the part of being carried away, of establishing a context but to a certain extent, of also giving room for improvised solutions, which also depend on the day I have too.
doing this kind of mixes was like something that "had to start" someday, and I think it was last year or the year before when I did the first. Maybe it was costing me for that very reason, because I had to somehow dig into myself.
Attila mate, I really appreciate your words. Big respect for you too!
You're right, I'd have said that this tells about yourself in that moment, in another time the result could be different as we continuously change and what we are playing itself influences us and how the whole thing will going on. I understand what you're are saying about the urgency to go inside ourselves with music. These days I was thinking to the difference from playing with / for a crowd, and how a session comes from the both side, from the relationship and the communication with the crowd and how a 'private' recording is a communication with ourselves, a presentation to us and to the world of who we are and feel in that moment, or just a sort of self therapy, when you need to take it like this.. Not all the session are like this, sometimes other criteria are involved and to me it doesn't mean they are weaker, but it's always special when sounds so personal and I can feel this closeness. Sorry without my mother tongue it's difficult for me to express abstract concepts... Anyway, we still have the music for this.
don´t worry, you have expressed it well and clearly. It´s interesting what you say about the dichotomy between playing for an audience or for yourself. I think about it a lot, because I have gone through both phases. After a few years without djing (only very punctually) for an audience, one forgets to please others and goes his own way, even in 4x4 music mixes, and then that communication begins, full, with oneself. Although it is evident that when someone asks you for a podcast, you are already conditioned and other factors come into play.
Thank you for your words in this post, mate, I am touched, and your conclusions have been very accurate. Fruit of listening to many mixes of mine, which makes me proud, you are a dj with a very strong personal stamp, whatever you do, and you have my total respect.
BTW, this NTS set is amazing, seriously it's mind-blowing. Thanks!
MC is full of great sessions and it could happen that some of them could be lost in the bunch, I guessed it could be appreciated by you, glad you liked it!
