I'm also a fan of Nina and loved "Counting Stars", "Serenade" was a cool track. "Be The One" is a brilliant track by Erasure and Paul Humphrey's remix is outstanding. "the Violet Flame" is their best album in years. Your spoling me Rusty!!!! "Deep Red" by Vile Electrodes is my favourite track of theirs. "Sunset", not heard that before, also excellent. "Tainted Blue" was another new one for me and really liked it. "Girlfriend" was enjoyable and Pet Shop Boys to follow was very welcome, "Say It To Me" one of the best tracks on the album "Super". It does sound like "Criticize"! "walking On Thin Ice" is a fine track by Yoko Ono, the only track of hers I can stomach! the Page track "Krasch" was good, loved that bass-line in it.
"My Heart Keeps Beating" starting part 2 was outstanding, a brilliant track. I'm going to play it on my i-Select show next month. The track that followed was also superb. Great to hear Yakamoto track on the show, a very ambient electronic track, those pads were so soothing. Jeff Appleton's remix was good, really enjoying his covers album, "Wonderful Land" is awesome. I liked the T-rex remix, good to hear they haven't butchered the track for that one. New order's "Temptation", being from Manchester it will be no surprise I LOVED that one, I like their live version of that track, builds superbly. Been a while since I heard a Underworld track too. The Jam & Spoon track was impressive, always liked a lot of their remixes. "Joshua Tree" is U2's best album, hope they release a Blu-Ray or DVD of their recent "Joshua Tree" concerts. Now we come to Depeche Mode........for me their latest album is dire, not a single track I like off it.
Keep an eye and ear open for WLR's i-Select show on Monday as I will be including one of your tracks :)
Very enjoyable show Rusty.
Enjoy your weekend.
