Missed the last couple of shows of yours Rusty but tuned into this weeks show and really enjoyed it, as ever a good mix of old and new electronica.
"Going Backwards" One of the better tracks off the disappointing "Spirit" album, the new Numan single grows on you the more you hear it. The track "The Nightingale" was really good, very impressed with that one. "Dreamland" was another excellent track. Ah Simple Minds, nice one on playing "Someone Somewhere In Summertime", what a track and what an album "New Gold Dream" is. "Machine" was an interesting track, some neat sounds on that track. The rendition of "It's More Fun To Compute" was good. "Disco Lover" was excellent and A-Ha's "The Sun Always Shines On TV" is my fave track of theirs. Big thumbs up for playing Talk Talk's "Living In Another World", a very underrated band in my opinion. I think Hollis is a recluse. The track by Electrofish I loved, brilliant synth work and a very catchy song.
U2's "The Joshua Tree" is their best album by a mile, "With Or Without You" as you mentioned is a classic. Great to hear a Jonteknik remix of your album on the show, been playing his music for several years on my shows, love his work. The Kevin Lux track was very Kraftwerk, I really liked it, not come across him before. Jeff Appleton's cover of "Electricity" was very interesting to hear, played Jeff's stuff on my shows. I am playing Precog's track on my i-Select show soon :) Promenade Cinema's track was good, very upbeat, a band I haven't come across before.
