Loving Long way down - deeper the fall :-)
Great hearing Lustans Lakejer again! "Diamonds are a girls best friend". And did you know that Richard Barbieri produced their third album "En plats i solen" ("A Place in the sun") in 1982; Coincidence?
Elektroklange, played their stuff myself and love them. Echo Step, brilliant track, not come across them before. Psy'Aviah's track is their best to date, fantastic track. What a great version of "Underpass", dark and aggressive, agree with you vocally though too much attitude in the voice. John's version for me is a timeless 80s classic, it still sounds futuristic today. Maxwell's Complex i've known for a while, they produce some excellent stuff. Lola Dutronic another band i've featured on my shows, love their sound, agree with you about i-European, great track. "Because Of You" another gem. Nice one playing "The Model", not played enough on radio for me, another timeless classic. Enjoyed Catch 23 and Satellite Girl. I love Metroland so pleased you included them, I have been busy putting together an interview with the band and playing tracks from their forthcoming box set release, I think you will enjoy listening to it, it's on the WLR Mixcloud page now. Titan & Gary Numan, not heard that before, really liked it. I think Numan has to deliver with his next album. "Changeling" is one of my favourite early Simple Minds tracks. Billy MacKenzie, sadly missed, a great vocalist, good to hear a track featuring him.
All round an excellent set Rusty.
I have the Metroland and intend to play that in the next few weeks . Anyone have anything I should have in my bag you know rustyegan57@gmail.com
Rusty I am e-mailing you a couple of tracks that were on my most recent i-Select Show which you might like to play.
Great stuff rusty .
