RUi is a Portuguese queer DJ based in Málaga, Spain. His relationship with electronic music began in the late-90s and early-2000s club culture of Portugal. Moving to Berlin in 2015 exposed him to a radically diverse club culture, where music, freedom and community could coexist on the same dancefloor. Berlin's clubbing scene helped shape his understanding of the role of the dancefloor as a space for connection, expression and belonging.
