I used to think I had accumulated an incredible amount of experiences. Now I just realize I've been on the planet for a bunch of years. I've always been an entrepreneur, having 11 businesses as a tune-up for the branding firm we started and ran for 23+ years. I was fortunate to be part of many hypergrowth or global businesses, as a strategist or brand communicator, usually leading a team of unbelievably talented individuals to places none of us had ever been. I love seeking, articulating and developing (in the inimitable words of the first Pres. Bush) the "vision thing," as the essential underpinning of any successful strategy. In 2005 God finally got through my thick head that I was supposed to be in full-time ministry and I have been blessed to be at Saddleback Church since then. Faye and I have two adult "kids" and three grandkids. We are immensely proud of each of them. We take no credit for how well they turned out. God fortunately protected our son and daughter from our parenting
