Flutist Ron Korb has been travelling and collecting indigenous woodwinds from Europe, Asia, and South America for years. He has over 30 critically acclaimed releases in 20 countries.
He has played on many soundtracks by directors including Ang Lee, Atom Egoyan, Mira Nair, István Szabó, James Ivory, and John Woo. Ron played on an Emmy winning episode of World Without End by Golden Globe and Academy Award winning composer Mychael Danna.
Ron’s Asia Beauty has won “Best of Show” the Global Music Awards It was also won Best Instrumental Album and Best Instrumental Song (Two Mountains) at the Akademia Awards in Los Angeles in June 2015.
Ron Korb has had 25 tours in Asia and in Mainland China seven times since 2002. He represented Canada along with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Montreal Symphony at the China Shanghai International Arts Festival last year. His sold out concert at the prestigious Shanghai Concert Hall was voted the audience choice by the fans.
