Almost a year ago I played a sustainability festival called Big Love. I built a set that focused on drums and percussion because I was going to be playing along side Elec Simon who would be live drumming over the mix. The set turned out to be beautiful. I didn't record it and all I had was recordings of my practice sessions. I recently took another look at the tracks and started to play them and then realized that I really liked this set. I added a track. I took one away. And then I hit record and here it is. It's not perfect, but it is still a fun listen. Enjoy.
Tracklist
Playing tracks by Bill Withers, Herman Kelly & Life, Barry White, Third World, Ben Westbeech and more.

I'm on it! I will find you.
ooooh yeahhhhh man, funky fresh sounds you got going on over here ! 😎 ME LIKEY!! 😎 *Smiles & waves*
Thanks Clare! You should have been there when I performed this set live with a live drummer. *Jumps up and down & waves back*
Nice eclectic set! Love the 'I wish' and 'good life' remixes 1, 2 punch.
Thanks! "Good Life" and "Big Fun" don't get enough love as far as I am concerned. Those were such feel good 90s dance songs.
Hell yeah! I'm really feeling this one.
Glad you like it. I was really surprised at how good the songs sounded when I revisited it. How is Oakland treating you? You playing any gigs out there?
I actually have a UVB sun lamp on my desk that I use for this time of year! It helps a lot.
( Now If i hold that above my head and grab that drink I'm kinda there then right?)
Almost...you'll look crazy, but where's the fun in being sane?
Lol yes I'm on the west coast and enjoying a balmy 55 degrees today. Not so conducive for outdoor parties.
It's 55 here right now too. I am still trying to get used to this weather. I lived for years in Georgia where it is almost always warm. So I don't know what to do when you wake up and it's in the 30s, by mid-day it's in the 50s, and back to 30s at night. Last week it was in the 70s so I was really confused by that.
Thanks for sharing the background and the journey of the set! Only way it could be better is, if I was listening to this set outside with my face turned up towards the sun, dancing ( and a stiff drink in my hand) ;)
thanks for sharing!
Thanks Chiemi. Aren't you in Canada? This time of year isn't really conducive to outdoor parties. I have to DJ outside next week in Ohio and I am not exactly sure how I feel about that.
Hay que rico! Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed listening :)
Thanks for listening! Glad you enjoyed it.
