Rodriquezzz (aka DeeJay Ro), born in Belgium in 1984, was drawn to electronic music in the late ’90s, inspired by artists such as Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier, John Aquaviva, Derrick May, and others.
A defining moment came in 2001 after hearing Richie Hawtin’s Decks, Effects & 909 (DE9), which shaped his approach to DJing and electronic performance. In 2002, he acquired his first turntables and mixer, marking the birth of DeeJay Ro.
Passionate about both music and technology, he embraced digital DJing early, working with Final Scratch and later evolving to Traktor Studio and X1 controllers.
Today, Rodriquezzz delivers tight, forward-thinking mixes, driven by a strong Romanian minimal influence and a deep respect for electronic music cultures.
